A Woman's Testimonial

Tawana D. Pruitt was born and raised on the west side of Chicago.  She is a survivor of abuse, molestation, rape, and domestic violence.  Tawana is a graduate and active alumnus of Indiana University Northwest (Gary, IN campus - SPEA Department) where she obtained her A.S. And B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology.  Post Bachelorette in Not-For-Profit Management and dual M.P.A. in Public Management and Criminal Justice.  Tawana is a member of the Institute of Innovative Leadership (IUN Campus). In addition, to being a Author, Tawana is a Songstress with an anointed angelic voice, who also pens lyrics.  She is a MOTHER, a GRANDMOTHER, a SURVIVOR, a LEADER, a Life Coach and a Motivational Speaker who fights a strong fight for women and children. 

TAWANA IS SIMPLY A VOICE TO BE HEARD. 

Here I Am, Lord I Surrender is  based  on three women’s  testimonies covering  the various  acts  of violence in which they  each  experienced at  the hands  of someone whom they each  trusted  and loved. While experiencing these acts  of violence,  these women never gave  up  on their Faith!   They each  relied  heavily on their Faith  and the relation ship  in  which they had  with  God! PROMISES  OF  GOD! The women in  this  book were fortunate to know  that  their strength  in God  and the Faith  that  was within  them helped to release them these less fortunate situations.   

 As a SURVIVOR, I bring life’s experiences through my  voice to all engaged. I paint the picture full circle withholding nothing. For I believe as others hear my testimony, that they too can and will find the strength via me to STAND and SURVIVE, while breaking the cycle of violence. It ends with ME!
